Pagerank Prediction

Our Prediction algorithm is completely different than any other system you might find. Most system online will just use results from multiple datacenters and give you a average. Our script actually gets all current results, as well as experimental results from google labs, Backlink counts from the AJAX API, MSN and Yahoo, as well as google itself. We run checks based on historical data, showing what sites with similar data to current query got in a update.

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."

Although most people think that pagerank comes directly from backlinks, things such as boune rate and clickthrough matter as well. Picture this, someone searches for 'search term' and click on your result, only to click the back button and click another result. This is not without consequence as these actions will effect your search position as well as your traffic to your site.
